See the cedar chest in the lower right of this photo?
It measures about 3-4 feet wide, 2 feet tall and 2 feet deep -- just guesses.
This chest arrived in Sacramento just before or just after I was born in 1942.
It has literally travelled the World.
Made somewhere in Asia, it was purchased by my uncle Emil in the late 1930's in the Territory of Hawaii (TH).
After my uncle's death in March 1942, my mother inherited the "carved camphor wood chest".
My parents Tom and Nada, had it shipped from Hawaii to Sacramento.
Brother and I grew up with this chest. The chest remained at 236 Tivoli Way until 1993.
Right now it is in Memphis, Tennessee. But, if it can find some help...it may be traveling back to the West Coast.
Anyone driving a truck from Memphis to Palm Springs???
Only time will tell...
