From the book, "Santo Tomas" by Frederic Stevens, page 542: Frank Woodruff Buckles March 6, 2010 Hello Mr. Moore: My name is David DeJonge and I am the spokesman and biographer of Frank Woodruff Buckles the only surviving WWI veteran of the United States who was also imprisoned in Los Banos for 39 months. If you have a way of asking your newsgroup to share memories or pictures of him with me I would appreciate it. We are working on a film about his life and any information will be helpful. Frank just turned 109 and is doing well.
