July 16, 2005 I received the following information from Ellen Reid, a fervent genealogist about the Duggleby family history back to 1155, but we'll just take the portion about Alfred Francis Duggleby. January 11, 1896; d. 1956. ALFRED FRANCIS DUGGLEBY was born May 26, 1893, and died January 15, 1945. He married DOROTHY HERDMAN. She was born May 15, 1903, and died September 15, 1987. Shown on 1930 US census in San Fransisco, San Fransisco, California. Lodger, single, aged 36 born Australia. Father born England. Mother born Australia Shown in Davenport High School Class listings 1910 Shown in Davenport High School Class listings 1923 A graduate of the Colorado school of Mines. became Vice-president of a major mining company and spent lots of time in the former Belgian Congo, Africa. During WW2 Alfred F was interned by the Japanese in the Phillipines. Birth place: P hillipines, Death place: San Mateo, death date: 16-Sep-1987.
