December 27, 2003 I don't know whom I am writing to, but I began thinking about my aunt tonight, who was intenrned at Santo Tomas on her way back to Shanghai from the United States. I have a fairly short diary that she kept during that time, but that is all I know and I would be interested in knowing more. Her maiden name was Katherine Ellis. At the time she was interned, she was married to someone called Vic Brown - I believe. During the time she was at camp, she met Max Vittaly (1898-1984) - whom she married after she was released. I would be most interested in any information there is about this camp and look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely Sarah K. (Ellis) Meredith Delhiv@aol.com Katherine and Max's last residence was in Lafayette, California. Front Back or would like to be added to my POW/Internee e-mail distribution list, please let the me. Tom Moore, know. Thanks! |
