Hal was the Dinjan Short A. Chief (can anyone explain what Hal might have done?)

In the 1943-45 log book of Don McBride, Hal listed his job as "MECH." and his address as:

Hal Hughes
2505 41st Ave NE
Seattle, Wash

Hal was killed in a plane crash, May 26, 1944.
