I NEED HELP IN FINDING OUT MORE ABOUT THIS ORGANIZATION.
I was told that it is a social organization formed in the San Francisco Bay area about 1993.
The purpose was to get together all former employees of all the airlines that operated out of Shanghai, China.
LWAA had about 40 members at the time of organization. It was opened to all that worked for the airlines. It so happened that most of them are living in the Bay Area. We met socially twice a year for lunch or dinner and we didn't send out newsletters. Most communications were done by brief notices.
Most of the members were former CNAC employees consisting of pilots, flight attendants, radio operators and a few administration personals.
LWAA is now defunct for lack of interest.
