"Joe"

(Captain - ???)
From the September 1947 list of pilots: Frampton 24-10 C47 From the 1960-1962 CNAC Mailing List: Frampton, J. p From the 1965 CNAC Mailing List: Frampton, J. From the September 1998 CNAC Mailing List: (deceased between 1949 and 1998) Frampton, Capt. Joe January 5, 2006 Tom -- I knew Joe very well. He went to work for CNAC about the same time that I did, and stayed till the end, as I did. After he came home at the end of 1949 or early 1950, he was involved in a car accident and lost both legs, so spent the rest of his life in a wheel chair. Joe's wife Edelyn (see document for correct spelling of Edlyne's name and Joe's middle initial "J") was killed in this accident (1924-1953). I don't know when he (Joe) died, but it was, I think, in the late 60's or early 70's. Wally Hash visited him, at least once, and could give you much more information about Joe. Sorry that I don't have more info. Don (Hassig) January 2, 2007 Here's a couple of thoughts from Wally Hash. Wally's pretty sure that Joe's given name was "Joseph P." and Wally says that he remembers that Joe had a daughter in the US Air Force. When Wally visited Joe in the 1950's or 1960's he said that Joe was driving and lived near Indiana, Pennsylvania. Joe and Edlyne Frampton - 1947/8/9 (?) Probably taken on the CALTEX boat in Shanghai. Caltex was an oil and gasoline purveyor. (Courtesy of Don Hassig) who was in the Air Force stationed at Phoeenis, Arizona when Joe died in 1984. Thanks for any clue in trying to reach Jodi. Thanks, Tom or would like to be added to the CNAC e-mail distribution list, please let the CNAC Web Editor, Tom Moore, know. Thanks! |
