Spring 2001
Jim Dalby says, "Einar I. Mickelson, from Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He had been with the AVG. Good friend of Bob Prescott. He was killed in early 1944 following Prescott through a pass. And I found his airplane."

From Gene Banning's list:
"... AVG; prom to capt 3/43; lost over Hump, 2/20/44, plane #75."

Dear Sir:

At North Dakota Agricultural College he (Mickelson) was president of Phi Chapter, Theta Chi Fraternity. His "date" with Madame Chiang was written up in the fraternity's magazine, The Rattle of Theta Chi (sorry---exact citation presently unavailable).
