APRIL 10, 1934

From "Airlines of Pan American" by Eugene Banning:

His (Gast) April 10, 1934 crash was in an S-38. In the plane were pilot from Miami James Frink and Communications Superintendent Ivan Carlson and one other passenger. All were killed in the crash. Wreckage was found ten days later but only Gast's body was found and that was on August 18.
